UN plans vaccine aid to North Korea

According to Japanese news today, South Korean government announces that United Nations (UN) is aiding North Korea with 60 million vaccines (population of North Korea is 25 million).

Last year around October and November, UN staffs in New York proposed the plan to Kim Song 김성 , North Korean representative to UN. Currently he is waiting for the response from PyongYang. He reportedly asked, if the vaccine is manufactured by Pfizer or Moderna company.

COVAX, an international organization for fair access of vaccine, has tried distributing AstraZeneka and China's Sinovac previously, but North Korea didn't accept them.

We may also wonder: Is vaccine the only solution toward ending the pandemic?

For 2 years, North Korea has adopted national lockdown, closing borders and wearing face masks as prevention.

These days, some people are saying that Ivermectin, a medicine developed by Japanese Nobel Prize winner Omura Satoshi, can be somehow effective in both curing and preventing Covid.

In both Japan and Taiwan, there have been medical doctors testifying effectiveness of Ivermectin :

A very good thing about this pill, is that it can be taken at home without assistance, reducing risks of visiting hospitals, also reducing work for medical staffs. Ivermectin is also said to cure existing prognostic symptom (after-symptoms) for those having caught Covid previously.

Ivermectin can be accessed through online purchases. It's known to be a parasite-killing drug, just recently discovered its effectiveness against Covid as well as many RNA-related diseases.

It's a wild guess, but if by chance, North Korea discovers this medicine and publicly announces its effectiveness to the world, the power of this virtual "missile" is greater than any of the metallic rockets combined -^^
