Liberty in North Korea and How To Help

Liberty in North Korea is a organization that has connections in the U.S, North Korea, and other Asian countries. Their main goal is to help North Korean refugees reach freedom and safety.

They do this through collecting donations and using it towards the cause. They focus on refugee rescue and refugee resettlement.

Their website offers many educational blogs and videos. It even allows for people to request a guest speaker to talk on this issue at events. It also allows the public to get involved in various ways such as volunteering and/or donating.

Their website can be reached through the following link: http://www.libertyinnorthkorea.org/our-team/

Only a few Americans know about the miserable lives of ordinary North Korean people.

NKinUSA (www.nkinusa.org) is also involved in helping North Korean refugees escape safely from North Korea to free countries by fundraising and testifying for North Korean refugees.

Non-profit organizations gathered in front of Chinese Embassy in South Korea to request the rescue of North Korean refugees in China.

Non-profit organizations emphasized the importance of human rights of North Korean refugees in China and requested Chinese Embassy not to send North Korean refugees back to North Korea because they will suffer severe torture and pains.

70 percentage of North Korean refugees living in South Korea are female and many of them suffer from trauma because they left their children in China.

70 percentage of North Korean refugees living in South Korea are female and many of them suffer from trauma because they left their children in China before they came to South Korea.
Why?
North Korean female refugees are sold to Chinese families in the small isolated villages, because Chinese families have difficulty in finding brides.
These are very tragic happenings.
Who is responsible for this tragedy?
My answer is Kim Jong Un and his followers in North Korean regime.

Something changed in trends of North Korean refugees to South Korea. A few years ago, many of North Korean refugees came to South Korea because of their starvation but now many of them came to South for freedom.

A lot of CDs with South Korean television dramas, movies, and songs are flowing into North Korea via China.
This is very effective way for North Koreans to know what is happening outside the world.

Let us send a lot of CDs to North Korea.

North Korean policemen provide photos of North Korean refugees to help Chinese police to catch hiding North Korean refugees who have not yet successfully escaped from China to South Korea or the third world including the USA.

North Korean refugees in China are afraid of being caught by Chinese police.
Chinese government consider North Korean refugees as illegal economic immigrants so that Chinese can not protect North Korean refugees in China.

Korean Embassy in China is doing nothing to protect North Korean refugees, but South Korean government provides home, foods, education if North Korean refugees safely escape to South Korea. This is a very dangerous journey for North Koreans to escape to be free.

News: North Koreans Fleeing Through Underground Railroads

North Koreans are feeling to Thailand through a christian underground railroad. The people of North Korea are willing to travel to a country that is 3,000 miles away in poor condition so they can free themselves from the torturous grasp of their own country.

There are two main ways that North Korean's escape from their land: through china. The first way is by getting help from people smugglers (which can cost thousands of dollars per person). The other way is through the Christian underground railroads.

These railroads lead Koreans out into China. In China, they are feed a lot of food before being let out. This is mainly because the refugees look very thin and can be easily spotted by the Chinese officials. After being fed for couple of weeks, the Koreans continue their journey down using public buses and transportation.

Once they reach the borders of Thailand, they can request to be arrested and in which case the officials will call the South Korean government who will then fly them to Seoul. This is a unofficial agreement between the governments of Thailand and South Korea.
