"Save North Korean Refugees Day" will be hosted by NKinUSA in front of Chinese Embassy, Washington DC to request China to stop expatriating North Korean refugees back to North Korea on September 22nd, 2017.

NKinUSA is a non-profit organization to let the world know more about the human rights of North Koreans and to help resettlement of North Korean refugees in the USA.

Part of NKinUSA's mission is to assist with North Korean refugee resettlement. NKinUSA provide this assistance including helping refugees find housing, enroll in school, and find jobs. Two staffs of NKinUSA, Grace Kang and Greg Forman, recently began tutoring a defector in the DC area.

Grace Kang and Greg Forman will help this young man with English and other subjects as he begins his college career.

Grace Jo and Soonja Ji will also be taking a course on trauma and stress in an effort to expand the services NKinUSA offer.

On the 6th of August, 2017 NKinUSA President Jinhye Jo will be speaking as a part of TEDxLakeArtemesia event about her family’s tragic experiences when they fled from North Korea and her passionate work helping all North Koreans escape the brutality of the North Korean regime.

Her talk is part of the TEDxLakeArtemesia event “Swim Against the Current,” which highlights that through some combination of perseverance, risk-taking, and a willingness to learn and teach, great ideas can be formed. TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas and TEDx focuses on communities.

The event is at 3 pm on Sunday, August 6th, at the Kay Theatre in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland College Park.
